Parking Ticket Terminator – On Street Now App

So it has been awhile…..

The past couple of months have been full of Parking Ticket Terminator – On Street Now App testing, testing and testing of the app. The app has come so far. I have discovered many new features to make the app better in the future. But for the time being, just getting the first release out to the world is still the hill to get over. For an analogy lets say that the ship can see land on the horizon but there are still sand bars, reefs and storms ahead before it reaches port. Just the fact that the ship can see land is amazing. It has been a really exciting ride, fun, scary, many tears, sleepless nights and moments of joy.

The developer and crew have been great and very patient and understanding. They have really put their hearts into this project. God bless them for putting up with the million emails, texts and phone calls.

As for a release date, I will just say that the app is closer than it has ever been to being released. You can guess if that means next week or next month but I would not be able to answer that for you.  Until next time, know that Parking Ticket Terminator – On Street Now App is moving forward …. be well.

Parking Tickets, Violence, Video Cameras

This past week we saw another story about a driver getting upset about a parking ticket and the situation becoming violent. Authorities are addressing the violence in some areas using jacket video cameras. Why do we continue on this path? Humans are smarter than this and someday we will find a better solution than to search and seek out the bad as opposed to looking for the good. How about somehow rewarding the good parkers and notifying the bad parkers they missed out on something? Someday we will have peace on the street meaning more peace in our lives.

Here is a little news release on our Parking Ticket Terminator App.     https://www.parkingticketgame.com/Parking_Ticket_Terminator_A.html

Federally funded ‘ticket blitzes’?

I came across this article and it really saddens me to think that this is happening. What do you think about this? Should the government be directly involved in ticket blitzes? Is there a better way? One thought I had as opposed to fining people is the removal of all fines and have people do community service. Would giving up a day off be better than paying a fine? For speeders, how about community service for those who were injured in an accident? If we can come up with different community service types that address the infraction then maybe real change of people in their actions as well as their hearts would occur? Check out the story here…..

New Parking Signs In NYC?

New parking signs in NYC! That means for Manhattan at this time NOT the other four boroughs. Local politicians, an appointed official and a reporter admit to parking signs being confusing….ummmmm, now? After all these years? After all this time? Pinch me! What else is there to say? Where is this coming from? Sorry to be skeptical here but I have come to be a little jaded here when it comes to elected and appointed people doing something that makes sense and maybe should have been done so long ago, like from the beginning. With this admission, will the decades of fines issued from all of these signs be returned?

Actually, Manhattan had new and different signs then most of the other boroughs before these new, new signs. I will leave this criticism and please wonder with me about the back story. There is always a back story in NYC. With a mayoral election looming, with taxes and tolls being raised everywhere…it makes one wonder to so many avenues of thought.

I will say that I welcome this change, IF it is for the better for drivers. Anything that can help take the confusion out of parking regulations in NYC or anywhere is great. We need more of this good-hearted, caring response from politicians and appointed people everywhere in this day and age.

Search for the phrase, “new york unveils new parking signs,” and you will find more info.

Emotions, What’s Right vs. Just doing my job

It has been as interesting couple of weeks in the world of on street parking.

Santa Claus got a ticket, a bus for disabled children in the UK who were on a field trip to perform was ticketed. Chicago meter fees will now be the highest in the country and city officials are not sure about the contract they signed with the private company, snow emergency regulations are in effect is so many places and snow emergency parking tickets and towing have been very high and as always, emotions have run high for being towed.

The emotional factor involved with all of this had been one of the motivating forces behind the creation of Parking Ticket Game Arcade and Parking Ticket Terminator App. The stress and emotions surrounding parking fines, booting and towing is very high and the TV show Parking Wars highlighted that well. The show also highlighted how the law enforcement side can needs to do their job, how at times let people go free and will use the, “just doing my job,” without necessarily considering the humanistic side of the situation. I like to ask the “mother, wife/husband, best friend question” here, would this same agent give that ticket to their mother, wife/husband or best friend or would their be some other consideration given? What do you think about this?

Sandy Hook – Make a Difference

Did you hear Oklahoma is considering allowing teachers to carry weapons in the classroom? It is unbelievable. Are teachers to have a shoot out in the classroom? As our hearts are overwhelmed with emotion for the children, staff, and community of Newtown, CT, it is important to take a step back and understand the who, what, where, when and why. To figure out what went wrong and fix it. To add more guns into our society is setting us all up for disaster. The statement, “This does not happen in any other country,” speaks volumes of just what we are doing to ourselves as Americans. The wild west has nothing on us in our current state of safety, economics, and politics. What can we do about it? When there is a problem, we all need to come to the table of solutions and figure this out. Do not sit back and wait for someone else to do it. Do not think inaction is acceptable. Discover where and how you, your family or company or office can make a difference. It is needed more than ever in the USA. We need to create a new attitude as well as understand we can all help out in little as well as big ways. It is numbing to think about those children and teachers. As that numbness somehow slowly wears off, lets make the sacrifice of their American experience make a difference to all in the future.

Rewritten African Proverb

Rewritten African Proverb

“Every morning, in every city around the world,
tens of millions of motorist wake up.

The motorist know they must remember details and be faster than the fastest ticket writing officer or they will be ticketed, booted or worse towed.

Every morning thousands of officers wake up.

They know they must be faster and smarter than the forgetful, confused, slowest and even street-smart motorist or they will loose the chance to write their tickets and meet their quota.

It doesn’t matter whether you are a Motorist or an Officer – when the sun comes up, you better be running.”

Doing Something About Parking Tickets

One day a long long time ago I found myself thinking, “there is nothing really available to help people deal with on street parking regulations.” Little did I know I had found something, an idea, that would propel me into the future. It was an idea that I decided to act upon. I did not know where it would take me or what would come of it but for one thing, it has become a passion. I cannot tell you at this time all the ups and downs I have been through starting a business and coming up with solutions. There have been many tears, blunders and heartaches and some triumphs. I have met so many great people over the years in business classes, business incubators and colleges. I met people I never would have met and gone places I would have never gone and done things I never dreamed about doing. It is amazing how once you throw yourself at an idea how it moves you into other areas and spaces of the world. The challenges are enormous on many levels. I continue to learn much about myself. The great love of my family have shown me that we can accomplish much if we believe and are allowed the freedom to go for it.

As it was then and is now, parking tickets, booting, car clamping, and towing are not going away and the fines have kept pace with inflation if not more so. It is my hope that what I have been creating and with a soon to be released app, it will make a big difference to many people.

In my upcoming blog post I will discuss what I have learned (and still learning) about the many aspects of the world of parking & parking related topics including regulations and reaching out to some of the great leaders who have made a name in this industry including, Glen Bolofsky of www.ParkingTicket.com, Sam Schwartz, AKA Gridlock Sam of www.gridlocksam.com, Mike Brockway of Chicago’s www.TheExpiredMeter.com,  AKA The Parking Ticket Geek and Larry Berezen of www.newyorkparkingticket.com.

My hope for this blog is to be a resource and bring the information together so that no matter where you are or live, maybe the information here will also help readers avoid parking tickets, booting, towing, (car clamping), wasted time, money and a lot of heartache.

Yours Truly,
